About

Meet Ilena

Connecting with the young adult and LGBTQIA+ population is Ilena's strength, primarily with her ease of conversation. She has expertise working with creatives in the NYC area - combating imposter syndrome and performance anxiety, managing self-care when you have an ever-changing schedule, and processing day-to-day emotions so you can move between your authentic self and any character you may play. She utilizes elements of performance psychology along to help you cope with these stressors and be your best self. Ilena also has extensive experience working with individuals who have had unique educational histories, including survivors of residential schools and the troubled teen industry as well as students who attend NYC's top public and private schools and are coping with that pressure. She was recently featured in Kristen Martin's The Sun Won't Come Out Tomorrow: The Dark History of American Orphanhood, where she spoke about her long career working with youth in foster care in residential settings. In her free time, Ilena enjoys cooking, baking, going to the theater, spending time with her cats, and watching gymnastics.
