About

Meet Maya

Maya is a rising mental health counselor with a lifelong commitment to supporting individuals through grief, loss, and life’s challenges. She works collaboratively with clients to explore how past experiences influence the present and to develop practical strategies for coping, resilience, and self-discovery. Maya creates safe, affirming spaces where clients can feel seen, heard, and empowered to navigate difficult experiences. Her experience includes providing emotional support through bereavement programs and caregiving roles, as well as professional experience in management and operations. These experiences, combined with her education and training in suicide prevention, psychological first aid, and interpersonal psychotherapy, inform her trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to counseling. Maya is supervised by Rebecca Brooks, LMHC, LPC. Outside of her work, Maya enjoys exercising, writing, spending time outdoors, and trying new restaurants and coffee shops!
