FINDING YOUR STARTING POINT

Is this you?

  • You're always on guard, even when nothing is wrong.

  • Something happened years ago, and it still shapes how you love, work, or trust.

  • You grew up having to take care of yourself, or everyone else.

  • You feel numb, disconnected from your body, or like you're watching your life from the outside.

  • Certain people, places, or dates still knock you off balance.

  • You've played it down for years because "other people had it worse."

How we help

Trauma lives in the body as well as the mind. We start with safety: skills to calm your nervous system, ground yourself, and feel steadier day to day. When you're ready, we work through what happened at a pace you control. You never have to share more than you want to.

Our clinicians bring different tools, so you can find the approach that fits. Vasilina Orlova, MHC-LP, uses EMDR. Elene Garay, LMSW, uses Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and nervous system work. Emily Feinberg, LMSW, draws on somatic and mindfulness practices and trauma-informed yoga. Liat Fruman, LCSW, works with complex trauma using brainspotting and creative arts therapy. Shamarraa "Mars" Dudley, MHC-I, focuses on early childhood adversity and emotional regulation with DBT skills.

In the first month, you'll talk about what brought you in, what feels hardest right now, and what support you have. Then you'll build a plan together. Sessions are by telehealth, so you can join from wherever you feel safest.

What it costs

Sessions are $225 with our licensed therapists and $175 to $200 with our associate therapists. We also offer $75 sessions with a supervised clinician-in-training. Several of our trauma clinicians accept Aetna. If you're paying privately, we send a superbill every month so you can use your out-of-network benefits, and many PPO plans pay back part of each session.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to talk about what happened in detail?

No. You decide what to share and when. Some approaches, like EMDR and ART, need very little detail at all.

What if I'm not sure it counts as trauma?

If it still affects how you feel, sleep, relate, or react, it's worth talking about. You don't need a diagnosis or a dramatic story to start.

What's complex trauma?

It usually means repeated or long-term experiences, often in childhood or in close relationships, rather than one event. It can shape how you see yourself and others, and it responds well to therapy that goes at your pace.

Can trauma therapy work by video?

Yes. Many clients find it easier to open up from a space where they already feel safe. EMDR and ART can be done over video too.

What if I need help right now?

If you're in crisis or worried about your safety, call 911 or call or text the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. It's free and available 24/7.
