FINDING YOUR STARTING POINT

Is this you?

  • You thought you'd feel happier right now, and you feel anxious, flat, or overwhelmed instead.

  • Scary "what if" thoughts about the baby pop into your head and won't leave.

  • You're running on no sleep and snapping at the people you love most.

  • Infertility, a loss, or a hard pregnancy or birth is still sitting with you.

  • You're a new or expecting dad who's anxious about getting it right, and nobody's asking how you're doing.

  • You and your partner feel more like coworkers than a couple right now.

  • Going back to work, or not going back, has you questioning who you are.

How we help

Pregnancy and the first years of parenthood are some of the biggest changes a person goes through, and nobody hands you a manual for the emotional side. Postpartum depression and anxiety are common and very treatable, and you don't have to wait until it gets bad to talk to someone. Dads and partners struggle too, and we see them as well.

Our clinicians use CBT, DBT skills, and psychodynamic therapy to help with anxiety, low mood, intrusive thoughts, birth trauma, and the identity shift that comes with becoming a parent. We also help with the practical side: sleep, boundaries with family, dividing the load with a partner, and returning to work.

In the first month, you'll talk through what's been happening, how you're sleeping and coping, and what support you have around you. Then you'll build a plan together. Sessions are by telehealth, so you can join from the couch during nap time, and you can always change how often you meet.

What it costs

Sessions are $225 to $300 with our licensed therapists, and $75 with supervised clinicians-in-training. Most clients pay privately and use their out-of-network benefits: we send a superbill every month, and many PPO plans pay back part of each session. Some of our clinicians are in-network with select plans, so ask us during your free consult.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if it's the baby blues or something more?

The baby blues usually ease within about two weeks after birth. If sadness, anxiety, irritability, or intrusive thoughts last longer, keep getting worse, or make it hard to function, it's worth talking to someone. You don't need to be sure before you reach out.

Can I start therapy while I'm still pregnant?

Yes. Many people start during pregnancy, whether they're anxious about birth, have a history of depression or anxiety, or are working through a past loss. Starting early also means you already have support in place after the baby arrives.

Do you work with dads and partners?

Yes! Fathers and non-birthing partners can experience postpartum depression and anxiety too. We see partners individually, and some of our clinicians also work with couples adjusting to parenthood.

Can I bring my baby to sessions?

Of course. Sessions are by video, so feeding, rocking, or a quick diaper change mid-session is completely fine.

What if I need help right now?

If you're in crisis or worried about your safety or your baby's, call 911 or the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The National Maternal Mental Health Hotline is also free and available 24/7 by call or text at 1-833-852-6262.
